Bullion has announced a new album, his debut for Ghostly International, with a lead single featuring Carly Rae Jepsen. Listen to “Rare” below. The album, Affection, is out April 26, and it also features Panda Bear and Charlotte Adigéry. Check out the tracklist and cover art below.
Jepsen said in a press release, “I’ve been a fan of Bullion from the first listen. His music just sends me some place good every time. We started writing together over zoom sessions in lock down and then met in real life in Toronto, London and LA. When I first reached out to him, I said ‘it would be fun to see how your world of music and mine could play together‘ and it’s been one of the coolest discoveries. To be featured on ‘Rare’ is such a sweet start to 2024. And as a fan still, I’m really looking forward to this whole album.”
Bullion, the British producer, singer, and songwriter born Nathan Jenkins, has sporadically released music under his own name for more than a decade, including the 2011 record Drive Me to Plastic and the following year’s EP Love Me Oh Please Love Me. He has lately engaged in higher-profile collaborations with artists such as Westerman, Nilüfer Yanya, and Avalon Emerson. His last solo album was 2020’s We Had a Good Time.
